Promoting the Energy Efficiency Programme “Green Automation” from IAI
In 2008, the Japanese market leader for electrical linear axes, IAI, defined the efficient use of energy as one of its corporate goals. All measures are summarised under the slogan “Green Automation”. A holistic approach is taken to the efficient use of energy. The goal is not just that of manufacturing products with as little energy expenditure as possible. Far more, IAI also intends to use its products and know-how in order to minimise the energy consumption of its customers.
The energy efficiency label “Green Automation“ is used to identify all energy efficient IAI products, such as the electrical cylinder series RCP2 and the easy-to-use controller PMEC from the RoboCylinder family.
As part of its worldwide series of events “Green Automation by IAI“, IAI is also visiting its customers on location in Europe from 2011/2012, presenting the theme energy efficiency in theory and practice. A roadshow with seminars and an open house are also planned.
In addition to products and their usage, issues such as the energy-intensive process of factory automation will also be addressed. Thanks to years of experience (over 1 million linear axes sold since 1976), IAI has extensive know-how and is thus able to provide its customers with comprehensive advice on the issue of energy efficient production.
The ultimate goal of all the measures is the integrated cooperation with customers in respect of energy efficient production facilities. As a result “Green Automation” becomes a comprehensive package of measures involving both IAI and its customers in equal measure, thus bringing both sides clear advantages.
